SERIE 2 SOLD OUT

In this limited edition serie there will be only 3 guitar straps.

The guitar straps are made using hard to get 3 inches wide traditional vintage Uzbek Yurt tent band, please check the picture of the Nomadic Yurt to see how those were used.

The band was hand-woven using natural dyed carpet wool. The designs on each of the straps are slightly different even thought they were cut out of the same length of Yurt strapping.

I have backed the strips with cowhide suede and finished the ends off with 2.5 mm thick Vegetable tanned leather. They are hand stitched around with a good quality waxed nylon cord. The adjustment is by means of Pelham hooks as used in my “0”series straps.

Seems quite amazing to me thinking how objects are traded, travel and metamorphose along the way; from somewhere on the Silk Road adorning a Yurt to Australia to be reborn into guitar straps and then onward.

Let me introduce the first of a "Limited Edition " of Guitar straps. I will make only six for this series.

Faux crocodile leather applied to 1.5 mm vegetable tanned modelling hide ,

Padded with 5 mm Neoprene which is covered in suede, hand stitched with saddlery grade waxed thread .

Width at the shoulder pad is 3 1/4 inches and the thinner strap is 1 1/8 inch .Buckle is covered in Kangaroo leather
