Leather guitar strap # 163

Simon in Tasmania| This guitar strap uses techniques
seen in cowboy boots but hand stitched instead of machine stitched. It
is made of 4 layers of leather. The top is 1 mm thick vegetable tanned
cowhide; this layer is hand cut then hand stitched through the second
and third layer. Second layer is sea snake leather in a Turquoise colour
and the third layer consists of a suede cowhide. Those three layers are
then backed with pig skin and hand (saddle stitched) right around with
a strong saddlery grade Nylon braided waxed cord.
The red inlays are thinned down Kangaroo leather.
The front design is mirrored on the back.
